How come I always end up feeling ill on New Year's Eve?

And no, it isn't a booze thing. I don't drink. It just seems to be a regular thing that I end up feeling less than my best for New Year.

The headache this weekend probably did have a bit of a helping hand, what with one thing and another. Spending most of the afternoon with my aunt L didn't help, either. I love my aunt, but she can be kind of...shrill, shall we say. And she never, ever shuts up.

But the fireworks were pretty. I stayed at my mum's - you can see three separate displays from her front window, in all their glory.

So anyway, my point was - Happy New Year, everyone in LJ land.

Edit to add that I am, of course, delighted that my boy managed a new year goal to round out a rollercoaster 2005. Course, he could have had a hattrick...
