the art muse is singing
Jun. 20th, 2006 09:57 pmThat pesky Art!Muse that I didn't know I had has been singing loudly tonight. Two new Supernatural walls that are as complete as they can be tonight - will sleep on them and decide if I still like them!
Both taken from episode 12, Faith, which is a real rollercoaster ride - for Dean especially.
First, Facing the Unthinkable - Dean has been injured, and his doctor tells Sam there is nothing they can do. The tears in Sam's eyes just kill me, and although Dean reacts pretty much as you'd expect him to - all fatalism and prickly matter-of-factness - the looks in his eyes tells its own story.
Life for a Life shows how the Reaper operates in this episode - literally exchanging one life for another. Here, Dean faces death in exchange for Layla's healing.
However, amid all this artistic experimentation, my slumbering Writing!Muse has started to stir - had a germ of an idea for a Pros ficlet, an episode tag for Fall Girl and got at least a part of it down on paper...
Only time will tell if it ever gets finished, though.
