Aug. 4th, 2006 07:24 amWhere did Buffyworld go? It was down last night and it's still down this morning.
Looks like I'll be having Small this weekend. She got home from her week with Deb and Ray on Tuesday. Then on Wednesday my Mum came into the office to do some work and brought the kids with her - Small and Courtney, the 12-year-old she minds before school and during the holidays. Courtney's been coming to my Mum since before he turned 2, so he and Small have grown up almost like brother and sister. Practically the first thing Small said to me was 'Can I sleep over this weekend?'
Since she'd only been home 24 hours at that point, I said it would depend if she was good all week and if Mum didn't mind her being away again so soon. Then last night I was out most of the evening with my friend Jane from next door. Came home to two messages from Small on the answerphone:
"Can I sleep over this weekend, Joey? Please? We'll have so much fun, there's so many things we can do, I have a list. We can go swimming, play tennis, go to the park, go shopping with my birthday money. We can go to the cinema and watch Pirates of the Caribbean, we can watch DVDs and make cakes, and go to McDonalds and have a burger. And I promise I'll be really, really good, you won't be cross with me. So can I? Please?"
Well, what can I say? Looks like I'm going to have a Small-full weekend.
