busy weekend ahead
Jul. 14th, 2006 08:36 pmHow did I manage to book myself up like this?
Went to my mother's after work for tea, and Small talked me into letting her come here for the night. She always says she'll be so good I won't even know she's here, but she never is. Can't do anything on her own - got to have company and entertainment all the time.
Then tomorrow I'm throwing a barbeque for the family. Not my idea...well, kinda my idea. I'm not fond of barbeques, but my sister gave me a little one for Christmas, and it's been sitting unused in the car boot ever since. She's taken to asking me if I've used it yet. So I thought - nice weather, as good a time as any. Plus, if I have the family around I can get the menfolk to do the fiery thing so that I don't have to. I don't do fire. Also invited my aunt Lel, which means probably Veronica as well. Possibly. Veronica doesn't really do family in much the same way that I don't do fire. She's 20 now - the excuse 'awkward age' is wearing a bit thin now. But anyway, she might show.
Then on Sunday we have our annual prize giving for Sunday School, which is a bit of a bind. but, on the bright side, I then have a whole summer of Sunday mornings to myself...
