For players like Crespo, Sorin, Ayala - this was probably their last chance. It's unlikely they'll play for the national team again, instead giving way to newer, younger players. After following their careers -Crespo's especially - for such a long time, it's sad to see it coming to an end.
Will continue to follow Crespo's club career to the bitter end, of course.
